Smith Rapids Covered Bridge

Built in 1991, this stunning lattice-work bridge is one of only two remaining covered bridges in Wisconsin.
Located on Rustic Road 105 in the heart of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, it offers a scenic spot for outdoor recreation and wildlife viewing.
Spanning the South Fork of the Flambeau River, a favorite for paddlers, the bridge sits beside the Smith Rapids Picnic Area, which features picnic tables, grills, drinking water, fishing access, and a carry-in boat launch.
Nearby, the Smith Rapids Saddle Trail caters to equestrians, with additional parking across the road. Note: no garbage service is provided.
