TSTG Enterprises and The Stoner’s Travel Guide is a joint effort between three best buds from Wisconsin.
The Stoner’s Travel Guide is both a series of books, AND an online guide to all kinds of fun places and events in the USA. In 2025, we are focusing on Wisconsin, where the authors are from.
Our website features places of interest for stoners, ranging from businesses, gift shops, and dispensaries, to caves, museums, art galleries, and more. If you have a business, place, or event you want to tell stoners about, we cordially invite you to post a free listing!
The first book in The Stoner’s Travel Guide series was “The Stoner’s Travel Guide to Upper Michigan”. Written by Gene Check, it was published in July 2022.
The second book in the series, “The Stoner’s Travel Guide to Wisconsin” is a new Book by Gene Check, Jessica Struzik, and Jay Selthofner Coming in December 2025!
The third book in the series, “The Stoner’s Travel Guide to New Mexico” by Gene Check, Jessica Struzik, and Jay Selthofner is Coming Soon.

Gene Check is a commercial outdoorsman, author, entrepreneur, and cannabis activist. He served on the Northern WI NORML board of directors from 2013-2023. For over 30 years, he commercially harvested wild crayfish, turtles, beaver, leeches, minnows, mayflies, and other wild fishing bait in Wisconsin. He has published several pamphlets and books, including the first book in The Stoner’s Travel Guide series. His most recent publications include:

Jay Selthofner is a business consultant, hemp farmer, political analyst, author, and cannabis activist in Wisconsin. He co-founded Northern Wisconsin NORML in 2010 and served as the chapter’s first Executive Director. He later served as the Treasurer until 2023. He also founded the Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network (WISCAN) in 2010. Jay is an independent reporter of cannabis-related political news. His family owns Heritage Hemp Farm and the annual From the Land Folk Art Festival in Green Lake, Wisconsin, which draws over 3,000 visitors annually.


Jessica Struzik is a professional programmer, website developer, business consultant, photographer, author, entrepeneur, and cannabis activist. She helped found Northern WI NORML in 2010, and served as the Secretary until 2023. She moved to Michigan and became a medical marijuana caregiver and patient in 2014. She helped with editing, formatting, layout, cover creation, photography, ISBN registration, and more on Gene’s last 4 books, and is starting to feel like a self publishing professional.
