Rustic Road 117

In Southeast Wisconsin’s Waushara County, Rustic Road 117 cruises along County W, Portage Street, Portage Road, and Covered Bridge Road from 26th Road to County A, linking up with R-48.

This mellow 1.8-mile ride, part paved and part gravel, rolls through a tree-lined corridor with regular peeks at the Pine River. Nature’s always putting on a show here—watch for eagles, sandhill cranes, geese, turkeys, ducks, and deer, plus the pristine waters of a Class I trout stream.

Along the way, you’ll pass historic gems like the old town hall, post office, classic homes, a keystone bridge, and even the Jefferson Davis Bell from Civil War days.
