Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara will be holding two upcoming listening sessions in the area! Looking forward to seeing folks there.

Background Notes:

Rachael (RCG) Cabral-Guevara (R) Senate District 19. RCG will be pretty safe in her redefined Senate district under the new maps. She is one of our lead GOP marijuana friendly elected officials. She supports full legalization, but I highly doubt we will see her name as an author on a bill anytime soon.

It is going to take more than Republican Rachael “RCG” Cabral-Guevara to legalize medical marijuana in Wisconsin anyways, but we should thank her for doing the right thing.  She was the only Republican to cross the aisle in the 2021-22 session and co-sponsor a version of medical marijuana legislation more patient focused, allowing home growing and smoking products.

Her district did change slightly under new maps and maybe she will change her tune from supporter to leader in the 2027-29 legislative session if she is re-elected. She seemed to be supportive of forming The Wisconsin Cannabis Caucus when she was an Assembly Rep.

Cabral-Guevara is also on the committee for and she voted yes to advance SB 682 / AB 747 out of the Agriculture and Revenue committee, although she was absent for co-sponsoring any hemp or cannabis legislation during the 2025-26 legislative session.

Town Hall Meetings and Listening Sessions are an excellent time to meet with your elected officials one on one.
