Eau Galle River Wildlife Area

Eau Galle River Wildlife Area spans 236 acres, located about 10 miles southwest of Menomonie and 4 miles north of Eau Galle. County Highway C borders the west, while 220th Street and 220th Avenue meet at the north end. The Eau Galle River winds through for 1.5 miles, its shallow, sandy-bottomed waters cutting through a mix of bottomland hardwoods and brush. Further from the river, the landscape transitions to central hardwoods and pine. A natural 2-acre pond and small backwater sloughs add to the diverse habitat, especially when the river floods. A peaceful spot for nature lovers, this area is perfect for exploring.
