Rustic Road 98

Located in Northwest Wisconsin’s Burnett County, within the towns of Oakland and Swiss, Rustic Road 98 begins at the junction of WIS 35 and Old 35 Road near Danbury. From there, it winds along CCC Road to Hayden Lake Road, forming a scenic loop that reconnects with WIS 35.

This 8-mile paved route is a peaceful and picturesque drive. Along the way, travelers will pass several serene lakes (Gull Lake, Falk Lake, Minerva Lake and Love Lake) and glide through stretches of open prairie and tree-canopied lanes. Wildlife is abundant here—keep an eye out for waterfowl, deer, bears, and even soaring eagles as you enjoy this tranquil, nature-filled ride through the Northwoods.
