Rustic Road 70

Rustic Road 70 in Grant County, Southwest Wisconsin, is a laid-back 10.1-mile mix of paved and unpaved stretches perfect for a slow, scenic cruise.

Jump off US 61 at Liberty Ridge Road and wind your way along Hill, Ridge, Sleepy Hollow, and Scenic roads until you hit County E. This route rolls through the Platte River Valley, with tree-covered hills, contour-stripped farms, and wide-open countryside.

You’ll pass a historic 1861 German church and cruise into the tiny town of Stitzer. Keep an eye out for one of the last one-room schoolhouses still standing on Scenic Road — a real trip back in time.
