Rustic Road R-19 runs 2.3 peaceful miles through southeastern Dane County, stretching from County B along Lalor Road to Goodland Park Road. This paved route is flanked by native prairie plants, bursts of wild plum, and patches of wild asparagus.
It crosses Swan and Murphy Creeks and hugs the edge of the Waubesa Wetlands State Natural Area, offering serene views and a chance to spot local wildlife. Tucked behind the evergreens is the historic William Lalor Farm, settled in 1846 with a land deed signed by President James Polk. R-19 is a short but scenic ride through prairie beauty and rich Wisconsin history.
