Rustic Road 101

Rustic Road 101 (R-101) forms a scenic 4.3-mile paved loop off WIS 35 between Osceola and St. Croix Falls in Polk County.

This mellow stretch winds through oak, cedar, and pine woods, with a trout stream, rocky outcroppings, and frequent wildlife sightings adding to the natural vibe.

The route runs near the St. Croix River and offers access to nearby trailheads—perfect for spontaneous hikes. You’ll also pass the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway ranger station and maintenance facility along the way. A peaceful ride with plenty of nature to soak in.
