Bearskin State Trail

Following the path of Bearskin Creek, this historic trail offers a journey through the heart of Wisconsin’s Northwoods. Originally carved into the landscape as a railroad corridor for transporting white pine logs to Midwestern cities, the route has since been transformed into a 21.5-mile recreational escape between Minocqua and Tomahawk.
With a surface of compacted granite, it’s perfect for walking and biking in the warmer months, while winter welcomes snowmobilers seeking adventure through the serene, snow-covered forests. This scenic corridor blends history and natural beauty, making it a must-visit for outdoor enthusiasts year-round.
