FDR Skatepark

Tucked under the I-95 overpass in South Philly, FDR Skatepark is a legendary DIY masterpiece—built by skaters for skaters—that oozes raw street energy. Spanning around 16,000 square feet, its concrete terrain includes the “Bunker,” a 60-foot-long spine; the burly overhang “Dome”; a wavy “Amoeba” run; plus connected pool zones, a mini ramp, and a vert ramp that draw pros and locals alike. Open daily—6 AM to 9 PM in warmer months and until 6 PM in winter—it’s completely free and sheltered by the expressway above. This place isn’t just a skatepark—it’s a living monument to Philly skate culture, hosting contests, jams, and community rituals, all while its walls stay covered in ever-changing graffiti art
