Pine Creek Fishery Area

Pine Creek Fishery Area in Maiden Rock Township, Pierce County, is a serene 246-acre haven for birders and nature lovers. Located at the northwestern edge of Wisconsin’s Driftless Area, Pine Creek flows from natural springs at the base of Mississippi River bluffs and empties into Lake Pepin.
The area offers a mix of northern hardwood forests and marshland, attracting species like the Cerulean Warbler, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Orchard Oriole, and Willow Flycatcher.
Birding is excellent along the hillside north of the parking area. There are no restrooms or camping, but the beauty and birdlife make it worth the trip. The area is accessible via a small parking lot off County Road AA, just south of Maiden Rock.
