If you’re looking to get as high as possible in Wisconsin—elevation-wise, of course—then County RR is the road for you. This short but scenic stretch winds through one of my favorite areas in the state, leading you straight to Timms Hill, the highest natural point in Wisconsin at 1,951.5 feet. The views from the observation tower at Timms Hill County Park are nothing short of breathtaking, making the climb absolutely worth it.
If you’re a hiker, the Timms Hill Trail and nearby Ice Age Trail offer miles of exploration through lush Northwoods scenery.
