Fonferek Falls

Fonferek Falls is the highlight of Fonferek’s Glen County Park, a compact gorge carved into the Niagara Escarpment in Green Bay. Bower Creek spills 30 feet over a dolomite ledge, dropping into a narrow ravine framed by layered rock and a natural stone arch. The setting feels secluded and ancient, with the sound of falling water echoing through the trees. Spring and post-rain visits bring the strongest flow, when the falls roar and mist cools the air. In drier months the cascade softens but stays hypnotic, drawing you to linger at the overlook. Winter transforms the drop into a frozen wall of ice, turning the gorge into a crystal sculpture. Small park, big atmosphere — the waterfall is the reason to come.
